Quick Start Package

The Quick Start  Package is an extended setup service designed for customers who want their PC or laptop to be properly configured, updated and prepared for use without having to complete the initial setup themselves. Rather than simply installing an operating system, we prepare the system across several important areas, including BIOS or UEFI configuration, Windows installation or activation, driver updates, system updates and the installation of selected essential software. The package also includes stability checks to confirm that the system is operating correctly after configuration. This service is suitable for new PCs, freshly assembled systems and compatible computers that require a complete initial setup. The goal is to provide a properly configured and ready-to-use computer from the first startup.

What Is Included in the Quick Start Package?

The Quick Start  Package combines several system setup services into one solution. We configure the relevant BIOS or UEFI settings, install or activate Windows where applicable, update the operating system and install the necessary drivers for the hardware. We can also install an agreed selection of basic software, including supported freeware applications or licensed software when a valid licence is provided or purchased separately. Once the main setup process is complete, the system undergoes stability checks to help confirm that the configured hardware and software are operating correctly. The exact configuration may depend on the computer hardware, installed components and the software requested by the customer.

BIOS and UEFI Configuration

The BIOS/UEFI setup is an important part of the Quick Start Package because the firmware controls many fundamental hardware settings before the operating system starts. Where appropriate, we review and configure relevant settings for the installed hardware, including supported memory profiles and other configuration options required for normal operation. A BIOS or UEFI update may also be performed where it is appropriate for compatibility, stability or required system functionality. Settings are selected based on the capabilities and requirements of the individual system rather than applying unnecessary changes. BIOS or UEFI configuration does not involve unsupported overclocking unless this is specifically agreed as part of another service. The aim is to provide a suitable configuration for stable and reliable everyday operation.

Windows Installation and Activation

The package includes the installation or activation of Windows where applicable. We can install the operating system on a compatible computer and complete the required initial setup so that the system is ready for further configuration. If Windows activation is required, a valid Windows licence or product key must be supplied by the customer or purchased separately. The service itself does not automatically include the cost of a Windows licence unless one is specifically added to the order. After installation, the system can be updated and configured as part of the wider Quick Start Package. This helps provide a clean starting point for the computer before drivers, updates and selected applications are installed.

System and Driver Updates

After the operating system has been installed or configured, we install the relevant system updates and hardware drivers available for the compatible components in your computer. This may include drivers for the motherboard, graphics card, network adapter and other supported devices. Keeping the operating system and drivers updated can help improve hardware compatibility, address known issues and ensure that the installed components are recognised and functioning correctly. The specific drivers installed depend on the hardware inside the computer and the software support available from the relevant manufacturers. Once the main updates and drivers have been installed, the system is checked as part of the overall setup process before moving on to the next stage.

Basic Software Installation

The Quick Start Package can include the installation of an agreed selection of basic software so that your computer is ready for everyday use. This may include web browsers, office utilities, communication applications, security software or other supported programs requested during the setup process. We install software that is available as freeware or software for which the customer already holds a valid licence. Licensed or paid applications are not included unless they are separately purchased or a valid licence is provided. We do not install unauthorised, cracked or illegally obtained software. The exact list of applications should be agreed before or during the service to ensure that only the required and supported software is installed on the computer.

System Stability Check

Once the configuration, updates and software installation have been completed, we carry out a system stability check to confirm that the computer is operating normally following the service. The purpose of this stage is to identify obvious issues that may appear after configuration, updates or driver installation. Depending on the system and the work performed, this can include checking normal startup behaviour, hardware recognition and general system operation. These checks help ensure that the computer is functioning correctly before the service is completed. However, stability testing cannot guarantee that a hardware or software problem will never occur in the future, particularly where faults develop later or are caused by external devices, unsupported software or changes made after the computer has been returned.

What Is Not Included?

The Quick Start Package does not automatically include a Windows licence, paid software licences, replacement hardware, repairs, data recovery, data transfer or advanced troubleshooting unless these are specifically added as separate services. The package also does not include unauthorised software or software activation without a valid licence. Hardware faults identified during the configuration or stability check are not automatically repaired as part of the service and may require separate diagnostics, replacement parts or repair work. Any advanced customisation, specialised software configuration or additional work outside the listed package should be agreed separately. The service is focused on preparing and configuring a compatible system for normal use using supported and properly licensed software.
