ASRock Phantom Gaming PG27QRT2A 27-inch Curved Gaming Monitor

The ASRock Phantom Gaming PG27QRT2A is a 27-inch curved QHD gaming monitor designed to combine detailed visuals, smooth motion and flexible ergonomics. Its VA panel features a 2560 × 1440 resolution, a 1500R curvature and a fast 180Hz refresh rate, providing an immersive viewing experience for modern gaming and multimedia. The monitor supports a 1ms MPRT response time and AMD FreeSync technology, helping deliver responsive and fluid gameplay when paired with compatible graphics hardware. With a 5000:1 typical contrast ratio, 300 cd/m² brightness, 1.07 billion colours and broad colour coverage, the PG27QRT2A is designed for more than gaming alone. Its integrated Wi-Fi antenna, adjustable stand and practical connectivity further enhance its suitability for modern gaming and PC workstations.

27-inch QHD 1500R VA Display

The PG27QRT2A features a 27-inch VA display with a native QHD resolution of 2560 × 1440 and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The higher resolution provides increased image detail and workspace compared with Full HD, making it suitable for gaming, browsing, productivity and multimedia content. Its 1500R curved panel creates a more immersive viewing experience while maintaining a practical desktop format. The viewing area measures approximately 597 × 336mm, with a 0.2331mm pixel pitch. The VA panel provides 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, while the anti-glare surface helps reduce distracting reflections. ASRock specifies a strong 5000:1 typical contrast ratio and 1.07 billion display colours using 8-bit + FRC technology, providing a detailed and visually rich image for everyday use.

180Hz Refresh Rate and 1ms Response

The monitor is designed around a 180Hz maximum refresh rate, providing smooth and responsive motion for fast-paced games and everyday desktop interaction. Compared with conventional 60Hz displays, the higher refresh rate allows the screen to update substantially more frequently, making rapid camera movements, scrolling and other motion appear more fluid when the graphics hardware can provide suitable frame rates. ASRock specifies a 1ms MPRT response time, helping reduce motion blur during fast on-screen movement. Through DisplayPort 1.4, the monitor supports a vertical signal frequency of 48–180Hz, while HDMI 2.0 supports up to 144Hz at the native resolution. This combination of QHD resolution, high refresh rate and fast response makes the PG27QRT2A well suited to users who want both detailed visuals and responsive gaming performance.

AMD FreeSync and Wide Colour Coverage

The PG27QRT2A supports AMD FreeSync technology, allowing compatible graphics hardware to synchronise the display refresh behaviour with GPU frame output. This can help reduce visible screen tearing and stuttering when frame rates fluctuate during gameplay. The monitor also supports HDR10 and provides a typical brightness of 300 cd/m², giving compatible content access to its supported HDR capabilities. ASRock specifies colour coverage of 95% DCI-P3 and 132% sRGB, providing a broad colour gamut for games, videos, websites and other supported content. The display supports 1.07 billion colours through its 8-bit + FRC configuration. Flicker-Free and Low Blue Light technologies are also included, providing additional features for users who spend extended periods gaming, working or browsing on the display.

Integrated Wi-Fi Antenna and Connectivity

One of the distinctive features of the PG27QRT2A is its integrated Wi-Fi antenna, designed to work with compatible Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 systems. The monitor itself provides two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 connection and a 3.5mm headphone output for connecting compatible audio equipment. Integrated 2W × 2 speakers provide basic audio without requiring a separate speaker system. HDMI supports up to 144Hz at the native QHD resolution, while DisplayPort supports the full 180Hz refresh rate. The monitor accepts 100–240V AC power at 50/60Hz and has a maximum specified power consumption of 65W. Power-saving consumption is limited to 0.5W or less, with power-off consumption of 0.3W or less.

Height, Swivel, Tilt and VESA Mounting

The PG27QRT2A features a fully adjustable ergonomic stand designed to provide greater flexibility when positioning the display. It supports tilt adjustment from -7° to +20°, swivel adjustment from -20° to +20° and height adjustment across a 100mm range. This allows the monitor to be positioned more comfortably for different seating heights, desk layouts and viewing preferences. The display also supports a standard 100 × 100mm VESA mount using M4 × 10mm screws, providing compatibility with suitable monitor arms and wall mounts. With the stand attached, the monitor measures approximately 610 × 568 × 257mm, while the display without the stand measures 610 × 367 × 93mm. Its net weight is approximately 6.30kg with the stand, making it a substantial but flexible addition to a dedicated gaming workstation.
